About ICE Marine

ICE Marine are an industry leading powercraft manufacturer, founded in 1995. Most famously known for the Bladeruner series in 1998 that went on to become the Winner of the Cowes Classic Round the Island Race twice in succession and winner of the National 6 litre speed record (101.7mph). The Bladerunner 51 Bradstone Challenger also smashed the Round Britain World record in 2005, doing it in just 27hrs & 10 minutes. They continue to hold this record to this day. The 2012 Olympics opening ceremony was another huge achievement for ICE Marine, with the Balderunner 35-RIB being the chosen vessel for David Beckhams arrival.

Website Home Page

The challenge

ICE Marine was looking to fix existing bugs and glitches across the website, while also wanting a more hands on experience, putting the power in their hands to edit the website and cut longterm agency costs. This upgrade dramatically gave them more control over their online presence and how they represent themselves online.

ZENTA Digital was challenged with merging a custom coded website with a page builder. Redesigning and developing the website to better suit the companies 21st century approach and the launch of a new boat series, Santoku. We had to use a combination of code and page builder techniques to ensure pixel perfect design and responsiveness.

We designed and developed the ICE Marine website to meet both Leisure and Commercial requirements. Utilising multiple colour palettes and layouts to maximise effect of both areas of craft. Prioritising the user navigation and ensuring visitors can easily access all areas of the website with a minimum amount of clicks. Our work took into account the earliest conversations with the client, and the in-depth market research we conducted.

Responsive Website Design

Adaptive design

Our developers prioritised the responsiveness of the website, making sure it was adaptive and fully functional across desktop, tablet and mobile. The website was built with this optimisation in mind, which is why the website has been carefully adjusted to resemble its larger screen layout across smaller devices.

ICE Marine is all about speed, precision and accuracy. The leisure and commercial power-craft they design and build is translated through the form and function of the website. Optimising the websites content to maximise its loading speed, while also creating an eye catching design that's enjoyable to use.

We created unique features across the website to help showcase the impressive imagery and statistics of the ICE Marine craft. This unlocked the capability to showcase feature images and the process behind their manufacturing, all of which was a point of development.

The newly developed ICE Marine website was delivered on time and within budget, followed by a minimum amount of revisions. The website is already seeing a positive boost in data, with a 2,300% increase in traffic, followed by some newly ranking keywords such as "offshore powercraft"

Overall, the project was a great success and ICE Marine was very pleased with the outcome. We continue to provide ICE Marine with constant support as they get used to the new website and its functionality.

Excellent customer service. We set out to make a few small changes to our website with help from ZENTA Digital which led to a much larger project to update our whole company website. Alfie and team were incredibly patient and helpful throughout the project - always flexible and willing to dedicate time to achieve our goals. They have proven trustworthy, honest and reliable, never deviating from their original quote, a rare occurrence these days. Thoroughly recommended.
